Rec Rock is a boutique music festival set in the historic village of Buxworth in the heart of the Peak District.

The festival is run with the community at its heart and has helped to fund local initiatives such as play equipment for the local recreational ground. Rec Rock music festival is an independently run not for profit festival.

This year the Rec Rock team are working alongside 1859 Empty the Doorways who work in Manchester and Stoke on Trent supporting and feeding the homeless.

At Rec Rock they know how paying for all of those little extra's with children can quickly add up! That is why at Rec Rock not only are Under 12's free when accompanied by an adult, but they have also created a corner especially for them. Here they will find lots of free activities from a climbing wall to the popular Forest Folk, face painting to hook a duck, as well as not forgetting the giant sand pit that will be bigger and better than last year.

Don't forget there will also be a disco on Friday night for younger festival goers and a free outdoor cinema on Saturday night.
