Outside The Box

Young members of Pegasus Youth Theatre have planned and set up a new mini festival at the start of the coming summer holiday for young people from Oxfordshire. Outside The Box is on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July.

Their weekend programme is completed with an appearance from Pegasus patron Philip Pullman who will be meeting and talking to the young audience about his writing and his popular books as well as their interests and passions.

The mini festival, aimed at 11-16 year olds, also includes a ‘silent theatre’ piece Boy Meets Girl where audience members wear headphones to follow a narrative played out by two actors in an interactive theatrical journey, pop-up theatre written by young people and performed by professional actors around the building, live music, performance poetry and more.

Anyone coming to the festival will also be able to enjoy workshops in a range of skills including graffiti art, street dance, stage fighting, comedy improv, beatboxing and cartoon illustration as well as festival fare comes in the shape of a barbecue and street food.
