Melbourne-based singer, guitarist and songwriter now making waves over here. Her first UK single 'History Eraser' has picked up extensive play on BBC 6Music. With her brand of 'slacker' garage-folk music, Pitchfork describe her material as 'shambling folk songs about the dangers of gardening and the quiet crises of modern relationships, all with a keen eye for detail and a wicked sense of humour'. Consider a female Yo La Tengo meets Jeffrey Lewis, and you'd be on the right path.

Taking their name from the late comedian Bill Hicks' alter ego, Goat Boy, Goat Girl are an all-female indie-rock band from London, UK. "Straight out of South London and determinedly DIY, Goat Girl are feisty, furious and fearless. Their incendiary rock, with shades of mid-noughties Cat Power and Medway garage girls Thee Headcoatees, challenges everything from national apathy to the perils of public transport" - The Guardian.

The Lovely Eggs
Lancaster duo David and Holly are the Lovely Eggs. They make short, sharp punk-pop songs with sweet and sour lyrics. The strange song topics range from bikes and snails to digital accordians and watermelons. Holly was previously the lead singer for late-90's girl band Angelica, loved by Steve Lamacq, while The Lovely Eggs have found fans with 6 Music's Marc Riley, Radio 1's Huw Stephens and Art Brut's Eddie Argos. Their 'Don't Look At Me' video became a YouTube sensation thanks to a guest appearance by cult comic character John Shuttleworth, while the single 'Allergies' was produced by Gruff Rhys of the Super Furry Animals, who also made a cameo in the video.

Drawing comparisons with Patti Smith, PJ Harvey, Hope Sandoval (Mazzy Star) Tess Parks has become the most recent signing to Alan McGee's 359 Music stable. Her debut album 'Blood Hot' presents simple rock 'n' roll structures with psych/folk textures and the seductive hoarse-whispery drawl of Tess' voice. Tess declares an affinity with the gently fried tones of Spacemen 3 or Brian Jonestown Massacre. A recent collaboration with Anton Newcombe suggests the admiration is reciprocal. “Tess is a true believer in the church of rock’n'roll. She’s got great taste and is really sharp. I got lucky again!“ - Alan McGee.

Brighton three-piece Our Girl are singer/guitarist Soph Nathan, bassist Josh Tyler and drummer Lauren Wilson. Nathan’s honest, personal lyrics float in a delicious array of sounds: rhythmic drum and guitar hooks make dynamic jumps to thick garage-rock riffs, then suddenly cut to beautiful, intimate moments of lone guitar and reverb-hugged vocals.
