Lancaster's award-winning FREE Music Festival: Welcoming, Walkable and Wonderful is famous for reflecting the city of Lancaster's vast musical abundance, excellence and diversity while bringing in top notch acts from around the UK and the world and is driven by well over 200 acts performing a wide range of genres at nearly 50 venues all within walking distance across the city.
Now in its 7th year, our "Unofficial Bank Holiday" weekend aka "Take Monday Off!" last year was hugely successful and will be repeated. So too will the main stage at the Castle. In addition, all four of Lancaster's historic outdoor squares will host music all weekend along with 10 new venues signed up for 2015.
Almost all the shows are free (there's a nominal £1.00 entry into the Castle and one venue has tickets for some of the national acts but all under £10.00).
