African Drumming & Samba Drumming CPD

This fun and exciting half day CPD course starts with the delegates observing an Inspire-works facilitator leading African drumming and Brazilian samba druming workshops with a class of children prior to participating in a CPD session.

The aim of this course is to train the delegates how best to deliver whole-class African drumming and Brazilian samba drumming lessons/schemes of work to all ages of children, provide repertoire and tips on achieving authentic techniques and style of each genre.

The essential part of this course would be that the delegates observe the whole workshop sessions with the children so they can see how our facilitators model the teaching as this will form the structure of the second half of the course.

The teaching methodology used in this CPD session is based on material in Mike Simpson’s Teach & Play African Drums book+DVD and Teach & Play Samba book+DVD published by Rhinegold Education.
