TAT-HKD - Where It All Began
From the team behind Thick As Thieves, Hijacked Festival and Family Tree: join for a one-night-only dance back down in that basement by the quay in Exeter...
Those in the know will remember Move’s predecessor, the hallowed Cellar Door. It was in this basement where it all started, running a series of legendary bi-weekly parties back in 2011 which fostered the blossoming of a new dance music community for the city. It was dark, it was sweaty, and the atmosphere of these parties inspired us to look to bigger things.
And so, in 2013, Hijacked Festival was born: a one-day festival founded on the same principles as TAT - community and creativity. Now in its 5th year, the festival is an essential date in the Exeter calendar bringing together the best the city has to offer. To celebrate, its time to look back at our roots as well as forward to an exciting future.
Having moved to London, in 2016 we formed a new group - Family Tree: a not-for-profit party put together by friends, for friends, taking over unique spaces around London and transforming them with immersive decor and the best sound we can get our hands on. To date, the parties have raised over £5,000 for a number of grass roots charities.
It is with great pleasure that in 2018 the full crew are heading back down to the coast for one night only. Join on 24th Feb for a historic night… with all profits going to the Exeter's Youth Arts and Health Trust.
