Maria’s life slowly unravels as she chats to her neighbour through the window.

Locked up in an apartment with a screaming baby and a sex-mad brother-in-law to look after, Maria is hounded by a desperate young lover.

Moving from farce to tragedy and points between, A Woman Alone is a homage to the ability women have to multi-task and how they cope in the face of controlling men. But more than anything Fo and Rame’s script is very very funny.
