Walter Schreifels really wanted to play for the Cavern's anniversary so much so that he was going to fly all the way from New York just for one show!

Instead, he's popping down after the Gorilla Biscuits show in London and will be playing songs from Rival Schools' United By Fate! What a treat!

Walter Schreifels is the most fitting of people to come back to celebrate the Cavern's 25th as his former band Quicksand played the very first show all those years ago on Valentine's Day. Plus, of course, he's been back many times over the years with Walking Concert and Rival Schools.

Aswell as having been in an incredible list of seminal bands; Youth Of Today, Quicksand, Rival Schools, Gorilla Biscuits, CIV and Walking Concert, Walter is also an accomplished solo artist with a great back catalogue of songs!

On top of being an iconic musician who's contributed so much music to the alternative and underground scene, he's also a brilliant producer who has worked with Hot Water Music and Title Fight!

Support comes from Freakscene annual Christmas party heroes The Cut Ups. In 2015, they finished off writting and recording album number 4 with John Hannon in Southend and hope to release it this year!
