Beats And Bass

Hold tight mid-week ravers, this one’s set to be a banger! Having previously showcased the finest in dancehall, techno, vintage acid house and jungle at previous events, they thought it was about time they put on a grime special for all you lovely punters!

Boofy
Coming at you straight from the heartland of UK soundsystem culture that is Bristol, it was only a matter of time before Kahn & Neek took Boofy under their wing as part of the legendary Bandulu Records crew.

Producing grime tunes packed with dark tones and weighty bass synths, Boofy’s first solo EP on the label, ‘The Boofy EP,’ sold out in under an hour earlier this year. His recent FabricLive x Bandulu Mix has also gone down a treat.

Boofy is also co-founder of Sector 7, a new label that has been behind some phenomenal releases in the first year and a half of its existence. Expect huge dubs from his Bristolian peers that are bound to get a rewind or two.

Killa P
Hailing from Brixton and active for over 10 years, Patrick Knight AKA Killa P is one of the UK’s most respected MCs.

His distinctive Jamaican patois flow and technical wordplay quickly earned him a place with the legendary grime crew Roll Deep, alongside his cousin and founding member, Flowdan. The two of them also featured on The Bug’s dubstep anthem, ‘Skeng,’ released on the highly influential Hyperdub label.

More recently Killa has collaborated with Killjoy on the Tumble Audio-approved bassline belter, ‘Nuh Failer’ and has frequently appeared spitting bars with the Bandulu crew (Kahn and Neek, Boofy and Hi5ghost).

The label’s boat party at last year’s Outlook Festival was featured in Mixmag’s top 8 moments of the festival.
