Join Jo Wren from Southampton's archives at this fascinating online talk, exploring the life and times of Southampton's sculptor and photographer, Richard Cockle Lucas, who famously believed in fairies and drove through the city's streets in a chariot! Join us to find out more about him and his links to Southampton as Jo dips in to our archives to share his story.

This online talk will begin at 7pm and last for about 1 hour. Please do join us from 6.50pm to ensure a prompt start.

You can see Richard Cockle Lucas' self portrait, on loan from the National Portrait Gallery as part of the exhibition Creative Connections at Southampton City Art Gallery until 30 September.

Free to all, this talk is supported as part of the Creative Connections project and accompany the Creative Connections portraiture exhibition in collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery.
