Ageing man-about-town Sir Harcourt Courtly is off to Oak Hall in Gloucestershire to marry Lady Gay's rich and beautiful cousin, Grace Harkaway, several decades his junior.

Also decamping to Oak Hall is Sir Harcourt’s dissolute son, Charles, in flight from his numerous creditors.

Arriving at the hall, Sir Harcourt soon finds his withered loins stirred by the Lady Gay and Grace’s charms become eclipsed by her vigorous cousin.
With his father’s attention elsewhere, the disguised Charles is quickly enamoured with Grace and when Lady Gay ‘discovers’ the young couple, she needs little encouragement to lead a lascivious Sir Harcourt astray…
