Talking With Angels: Budapest 1943 is the fascinating yet little known true story of artist and Olympic swimmer Gitta Mallasz and her three Jewish friends, Lili Strauss, Joseph Kreutzer and Hanna Dallos encounter with 4 Angels during the 1943 Nazi occupation of Budapest.
The absorbing verbatim monologue, adapted and performed by Shelley Mitchell is based on recorded narrative, captured several decades earlier by the quartet’s sole survivor Gitta Mallasz. and brings to life the fascinating story of the close knit friends and their celestial encounters.
On stage, set in London during the 1992 final talk given by 84 year old Gitta Mallasz one year before her death Talking With Angels takes audiences on an extraordinary real life journey whilst giving texture to the harrowing verbatim testimonials, stories, experiences and conversations between Mallasz and her friends as they communicate with their celestial teachers.
