Summerhall Hogmanay: Motown Soul Explosion
This is your chance to dress up as your favourite Soul Icon, perhaps Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Diana Ross or even Ike and Tina Turner. This Hogmanay Ball is a night jam packed full of all things Soul, Stax and Motown, with a sprinkling of Disco thrown in for good measure.
There will be an early evening performance from 'The Harmonettes', a female vocal group. Dance troupe 'Gracie Divas' will present a funky, disco dance mash-up. You can capture a snap-shot of your evening with our free 'Retro Photobooth'.
On top of that oursoul and disco DJ's GordonT, DetroitAfro and MoODY, will be spinning a mixture of Motown, Soul, Disco, Stax and Northern Soul. The finale for the evening and taking us through the bells countdown and in to 2016 will be incredible headline act: The Soul Foundation.
The Soul Foundation
The Soul Foundation T.S.F. are a Motown/Soul band who have absorbed themselves in both Classic Soul and the Detroit Motown Sounds of the 1960s.
