Christmas Ice Skating

Get your skates on and glide all the way round the Melville Monument on this circular ice rink in St Andrew Square.

Children under 11 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Please arrive 20 minutes in advance of your time slot to get your skates on!
There is a cloakroom for bags and other items not permitted onto the rink.

For safety reasons, you are not allowed to take photographs whilst on the ice. However, spectators can take photos from the viewing platforms around the rink.

The minimum skate size boot on the rink is a children's size 9, and the maximum is an adult size 13.

Skate hire is included in the price of your ticket, but you're also welcome to bring your own skates subject to suitability checks. (Please note: speed skates are not allowed.)

They provide double-bladed skates for the tiniest of feet, as well as skating aids for younger children at an additional cost when you arrive.

Wheelchair users are welcome on the rink.
