This year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe plays host to Things Can Only Get Bitter- a vicious new political drama from Cardiff University's Act One. Performed by a six-strong cast of Cardiff students, the play promises to electrify the festival with an up-to-the-minute script in an intimate environment.

In the run up to a general election, one minor constituency office is in turmoil. Stephanie Glendenning is the sitting MP, struggling to cope with the pressure. Her campaign is as fragile as her state of mind, but instead of helping, those around her use her vulnerability to try to outmanoeuvre one another.
