Edinburgh Festival Fringe - Bad Man Tings

Join twice Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominated Carl Donnelly for an all new hour of funnies as he takes us through his thoughts on reaching the ripe old age of 34, the age that is statistically the happiest of your life. Following the mess that was his late twenties and early thirties (involving divorce, depression, hallucinogens and worse) Carl has now seemingly found peace in being a vegetable planting, self-hating liberal with a wide array of useless kitchen utensils and is trying to work out which life he prefers. 'Observational genius' (Guardian).

Carl Donnelly appearing at this event

Carl started performing stand-up regularly in the early part of 2005 and quickly established himself as one of the most exciting new comics climbing the comedy ladder. His confident, conversational style and childish sense of humour has seen him become a regular at clubs all over the country including various universities as part of the Avalon Comedy Network. He won the 2007 Chortle Award for the best newcomer and the 2007 Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year Award. 'Carl Donnelly effortlessly intertwines storytelling and observational humour with honed improvised skills' (www.comedy.co.uk) 'A ludicrously funny hour... effortless and utterly captivating' (The Skinny) 'This degree of innate comic talent is a rare and beautiful thing. Not to be missed' (Broadway Baby) 'One of the most engaging and bendy-minded comics on the circuit' (The Guardian) 'He's a remarkable talent – a relaxed, easygoing anecdotalist with an eye for funny details. An hour in his company is a true delight' (Time Out). Carl Donnelly was named in Ents24's top 20 hardest-working comedians of 2016.
