Careers Day: Earth Observation
Earth Observation is all about our planet; its physical, chemical and biological systems, their interactions and their limitations.
It is one of the most rapidly advancing areas of science and technology and includes everything from butterfly surveys to Geographical Information Systems, satellite photography and monitoring ocean buoys. Some observations can be taken from land, some from the air and many from space.
It is an area of science that is becoming increasingly important as we observe the dramatic impact we have had and continue to have on Earth - this finite resource we call home. So, bring your pupils along to chat with experts working in this field, explore career opportunities in GIS, space science and research, and let them see for themselves where science could take them.
Places are limited. The event will be subsidised and transport costs can be covered (or part covered). To express an interest just drop Christine an e-mail on christine.angus@dynamicearth.co.uk
