The Battle of Waterloo - Rare Books and Manuscripts Viewing

The battle of Waterloo is one of the most famous battles in history, which altered the course of European history for a century.

On 18 June, to mark the 200th anniversary of the battle, there is a chance to view contemporary material relating to Waterloo from the Library’s rare book and manuscript collections, including accounts of the battle, ballads and chapbooks, and a book which is said to have been taken from Napoleon’s carriage after the battle.
