One of the most exciting new Shakespeare companies in the UK, Merely Theatre has honed a style that strips the Bard back to basics - no gauche sets, frilly collars or fussy props: just the actors, the audience and the text.

Using gender-blind casting, they present two of Shakespeare’s classic works, each condensed to just 90 minutes.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream playfully depicts the comically intertwining tales of feuding forest gods, midnight elopements and staging a theatre show.
