Farah has been subjected to barrel bomb attacks, her husband has been jailed and tortured, and she’s been horrified by the influx of foreign jihadis. But she’d never wanted to leave her homeland until the day she fell pregnant. Now, she will join the 4.8 million other Syrians displaced by war on a life-threatening journey for the chance to raise her unborn child in the Freedom of Europe.

But she’s in for a nasty shock…The West has changed; it belongs to Farage and Trump and Le Pen. This is now a Europe with high fences and razor wire; this is a Europe with Borders.
