Edinburgh's biggest comedy event featuring an all-star cast, hosted by Kevin Bridges and Adam Hills.
The Comedy Gala 2013 in aid of Waverley Care will feature the cream of the comedy crop at this year’s Fringe and, as previous years, will also be recorded for television, meaning that even if you can’t make it to the Festival you won’t be missing out on all of the fun.
Set to be the Edinburgh’s biggest comedy event this August, the Edinburgh Comedy Gala 2013 will showcase some of the finest comedic talent at the Fringe in aid of and support to people living with HIV and Hepatitis C.
The show is being recorded for television.

Described as the 'Leonard Cohen of comedy', Andrew Lawrence is the master of his game. As seen on BBC1's 'Michael Mcintyre's Roadshow' and Channel 4's 'Best of The Brighton Comedy Festival', Andrew is also a double 'If' comedy award nominee.

Jason Byrne's style is a free-wheeling, high energy brand of lunacy that takes the audience on a helter-skelter tour of his offbeat mind, helped along by his curious array of bizarre props. He has performed all over the world and has a ever-growing international following.

Romesh burst onto the comedy circuit in 2010, gigging regularly at top venues all over the country. As well as turning in storming turns on a regular basis, he has also found time to reach the Latitude New Act Final 2010, The So You Think You're Funny? Final 2010 as well as coming runner up in The Amused Moose Laugh Off 2010.
In 2015 Romesh starred in his own show called 'Asian Provocateur' (BBC Three) where he travelled to Sri Lanka to learn about his parents' country. In 2016 the second series 'Mum's American Dream' was commissioned.
He has forged a fearsome reputation with a set that combines cutting one liners with an acerbic take on the world around him.

Hal Cruttenden is one of the top comedians working in the UK today, as well as being a highly accomplished writer and actor.
Over the last year he’s performed on ‘The John Bishop Show’ (BBC1), ‘Live at the Apollo’(BBC1 and 2), ‘The Melbourne Comedy Festival Gala’ on Channel 10 Australia as well as ‘Have I Got News For You’ (BBC1) and frequently being seen on ‘Great British Bake Off – Extra Slice’ (BBC2).

Since coming to the UK, the Canadian has built up a reputation as a popular and highly recommended comedian. Winner of the 2009 So You Think You're Funny New Act Competition, at the age of 18, Eton and Oxford-educated Ivo Graham was nominated for best newcomer in the 2010 Chortle Awards. He has also appeared on Live At The Apollo (BBC2).

Neil Delamere is one of the most in-demand comedians on Irish television, and well on track to repeat his success here in the UK. He is best known to UK audiences for a storming appearance on the first series of Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow on BBC1, and has also appeared on The World Stand Ups and Live At The Comedy Store, both on Comedy Central. 'Let's Dance for Comic Relief' winner Charlie Baker brings his incredible mix of jokes, song and dance to the stage. Charlie was a regular on the 2010 series of Richard Bacon's Beer and Pizza Club, starred in The Comedy Store, which aired in January 2011.
Charlie’s instant likeability and charming delivery style has earned him a glittering reputation.
The Guardian has described the hyperactive funnyman as 'a superior take on the modern showman' and 'Devon's answer to Frank Sinatra'.

This popular stand-up and TV comedian is well-known for his appearances on the pop music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks. His career as a performer began in 1984 when he quit his job as a civil servant to follow a new direction as a performance poet on the alternative comedy circuit and supporting bands such as The Style Council and The Housemartins. During the late '80s he worked with Billy Bragg, directing videos for both Bragg and Kirsty MacColl.
Phill has an abiding love and in-depth knowledge of popular music, particularly ska, bluebeat and rhythm and blues. His hugely successful standup tours have included Jedi, Steady, Go and Quadrophobia, and he has worked extensively on radio, variously as a contributor, panellist and presenter. He has also toured as part of The Blockheads line-up.

His debut show 'Purist' was a big hit at the Edinburgh Festival in 2010, selling out every night and receiving many four and five star reviews.
