Sinatra: 100 Years - Celebrating Frank Sinatra's Centenary
Sinatra: 100 Years is top British singer Todd Gordon's personal homage to his biggest musical influence. Having started his career performing Ol' Blue Eyes' hits in his own similarly swinging style, debonair crooner Gordon returns to this repertoire to celebrate his hero's centenary.
Expect a show that spans the Sinatra hit parade, from the 1939 hit, All or Nothing at All, through such classic 1950s material as Witchcraft and You Make Me Feel So Young, to his late-career, signature songs New York, New York and My Way. Along each and every by-way, Gordon - who's also a widely syndicated radio presenter - weaves in fascinating anecdotes about and Sinatra and his songs.
Gordon says: "Sinatra's music has been the soundtrack to my life but it was distinctly un-cool for a kid to like Sinatra in the 1970s, so I earned the nickname Bing!" He adds: "I'm not a conventional Sinatra tribute act, but have been heavily influenced by the legacy of wonderful music he has left for us to enjoy."
