The Art Of Rupert Denyer

The February exhibition at the Eastbourne Under Ground Theatre features Lewes artist Rupert Denyer. By training Rupert is a Graphic Designer and illustrator, having received a degree at Kingston University.

His plein-air paintings and portraits have been shown in London at the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Llewellyn Alexander Gallery. In 1996/97 and 1998 he was short listed for the Windsor and Newton Young Artist of the Year.

Recently retired as creative director of a leading London graphic design agency, Rupert now concentrates on his art, painting directly from the street. Many of his paintings depict scenes of Lewes.

The exhibition at the Under Ground will last until 23rd February. Rupert Denyer’s art will be on show and on sale every Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm. It can, of course, also be viewed by the audience at any UGT event.
