Last of the Summer Wine - Treading the Boards is the story of two men, father and son, who made comedy television history. 'Last of the Summer Wine' was the world's longest running television comedy series. Bill Owen charmed audiences with his characterisation of 'Compo' in the series for 27 years - upon his passing, his son Tom joined the series and subsequently made history.

Through narrative, film, photograph and song, Tom today tells the story of two careers - his own and his father's - the highs and the lows, the laughter and the tears in a memorable evening of anecdotes, songs and film clips with many references to and scenes from the staple of gentle comedies that can only be 'Last of the Summer Wine'.
