The LPO’s current season comes to an end with a rousing programme including Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, famous for its hypnotic march, used in the soundtrack to The King’s Speech. Madalyn Parnas takes the stage to perform Mendelssohn’s much-loved Violin Concerto, while Elgar’s nostalgic Introduction and Allegro for strings opens the afternoon.
