Sports Awards Evening

2014 was exceptionally successful year for sport in Glasgow and Scotland, featuring the fabulous Commonwealth Games and then the Ryder Cup. The games may be over but the impact will be felt for years to come.

East Kilbride Sports Council has been hosting their 'Annual Sports Awards Evening' for over 30 years and the evening continues to highlight the fantastic achievements of the local sporting talent of all ages, from primary school kids to senior citizens.

The evening is a night out for all the family and is hosted by a well-known local personality, Cliff Smith. Entertainment during the evening is provided by Calderglen High School Jazz Band under the leadership of their music teacher, Susan Menzies. It is great to see East Kilbride Sport and Musical Culture coming together in one evening.

Numerous awards are made during the evening to young people, to older people, to club coaches, administrators and to clubs themselves all of who show an absolute commitment to their sport.
