Dunfermline Folk Club
On Wednesday 5 August, Dunfermline Folk Club at the Thistle Tavern welcomes Rosie Eade Trio and Johnny Campbell. Devon based folk/rock musician Rosie Eade "Folk Pixie" joins forces with Yorkshire based folk/acoustic/punk musician Johnny Campbell.
Rosie: "One of the loveliest new voices on the folk and acoustic music scene" (Village Pump Folk Club, 2013), she plays lively and evocative life inspired songs of her own, interspersed with carefully chosen traditional songs, all arranged around her love of folk, rock and thrashing her old nylon strung guitar. Accompanied on this tour by Steve Matthews on mandolin and tenor guitar.
Johnny: A fast, ruthless, uncompromising sound which lends its influences from far and wide. The material will embrace traditional music, like the singing of the Sean-Nos, frantic Bluegrass style picking and sometimes even a heartfelt ballad in Norwegian or Gaelic.
Free entry. A collection will be taken for the artists.
