We Were Heroes

We Were Heroes is an original play by LIP Theatre Co. Taking inspiration from historical and contemporary events, the play focuses on one young woman, Chris McCaulley, as she enlists in her father’s old regiment in an attempt to become the hero that she saw her father to be.

An unorthodox exploration into the mind of a soldier, this play questions our society’s image of ‘the heroic soldier’.
