Gardeners' Fair
For the experienced gardener or the keen amateur, Burton Agnes Hall’s Gardeners’ Fair offers the widest possible range of specialist nurseries with the best quality plants around - all in the grounds of this magnificent Elizabethan stately home.
On the weekend of the 6th and 7th June from 11am-5pm, Burton Agnes Hall becomes a gardener’s dream. Its award winning gardens will be on show at their best (previously winning the HHA Christie’s Garden of the Year Award), alongside a broad range of specialist nurseries and stalls selling plants, gardening tools, garden furniture and ornaments, and gifts.
At this year’s Gardeners’ Fair, visitors will be able to purchase plants from more than fifty stalls, whose wares range from the classic to the highly original, such as Wack’s Wicked Carnivorous Plants! If you are looking for advice, then look no further. Burton Agnes’ gardening team will be on hand to share their knowledge and expertise, and throughout the weekend there will be specialist talks, chosen to explore a popular range of gardening topics. In the Courtyard, fairgoers will find Burton Agnes Hall’s shops.
The Home & Garden Shop and Gift Shop each sell stunning, original gifts and souvenirs. Home grown plants, all propagated from the gardens, are also sold in the courtyard. The cafe will serve its scrumptious home cooked meals, snacks and treats, locally roasted Fairtrade coffee, and teas, amongst other tempting goodies.
Burton Agnes Hall will donate 50 pence from each admission to the National Gardens Scheme. Founded in 1927, the National Gardens Scheme raises money by opening gardens of quality and interest to the public, and gives away more than £2.5 million each year to nursing, caring and gardening charities.
