Blues Street Preachers

Blues Street Preachers are a collective of musicians that play and who are inspired mainly by the pre war or prohibition era blues of the 1920's and 30s. Artists like Big Bill Broonzy, Casey Bill Weldon, Blind Willie McTell and Robert Johnson. Their set features a variety of styles, from down home and up tempo blues through to ragtime and hokum styles and featuring the odd gospel number.

Featured is the dynamic slide guitar work of Mark Braidner and the pumping piano voicing of the talented Simon Templeton. Percussionist/drummer Rik Gay drives the songs along and the set is complimented by the trumpet playing of Gerry McClurg.
