This is an initiative conceived by Dubai based performer Lydia Tzigane in 2007 that has since gained popularity across the world and the second weekend in May has become an important date in the Bellydance calendar. As well as World Belly Dance Day being a celebration of the ancient art of Arabic dance it is the day of 'giving' to those less fortunate than ourselves. All proceeds from this years event are being donated to a charity assisting refugees in Greece.

You will also be supporting Arabic Cafe as your ticket includes a buffet meal of delicious Arabic fayre which is produced by local Middle Eastern neighbors. This is a family friendly event.
