Earl Thomas - A twenty first century blues man

Deemed “one of the most important blues artists of this decade” by the Best of Blues Awards, Earl Thomas began his professional career when he migrated to southern California after graduating with his degree in Music from Humboldt College a small private school in northern California.

Most recently, Earl has engaged in collaborations with The Blues Foundation to work towards raising the funds necessary to build a Blues Hall of Fame museum in Memphis, Tennessee. To reach this goal, Earl and his friends from around the globe have put together concerts devoted to celebrating the blues. Featuring artists across all musical genres, these special shows encourage musicians not typically known for singing the blues to give it a go and potentially discover new musical skills or passions.

Earl Thomas considers himself a "21st century bluesman." "The first bluesmen and women were slaves and sharecroppers," he says, "the third were urban factory workers, but the 21st century bluesman is college educated, sophisticated, world traveled, and wears Brooks Brothers…"

With extensive knowledge and experience of touring since Greg was 17, his live performances are something to behold. He has toured countries including America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (to name a few).

He has done many a gig including The Great British Rhythm & Blues festival (british stage) and over 100 appearances in venues up and down the Uk since July 2013 and has started to gain a strong following on the blues scene as a result. His debut album is due for release early 2015 with concerts to coincide including the Blues kitchen (Camden) and The Zinc blues festival (Paris).
