Walton’s dazzling portrayal of the story of Belshazzar’s Feast will be brought to life with large, powerful symphonic and choral forces.

This will be performed alongside Mahlers ever-popular 1st Symphony. Originally described as a symphonic poem, this spellbinding work challenged the symphonic genre, offering a new kind of symphony which combines the pre-existing musical structure with a new level of imagination and narrative.
