The Piramida Concert
On Saturday 26th May, Denmark's experimental alt-pop pioneers Efterklang made their Australian live debut at the Sydney Opera House. Playing alongside the Sydney Symphony, and featuring the legendary Budgie (Siouxsie and The Banshees, The Creatures) on drums, Efterklang premiered forthcoming album, Piramida, in its entirety. The Danes worked closely with classical arrangers to fully utilise the orchestra, delivering a performance that was more of an interpretation than a faithful recital of the studio record, scheduled for release on September via 4AD.
Efterklang have also confirmed Budgie will be joining the band as drummer for their October UK tour. All dates will be performed with the Northern Sinfonia.
