Stalingrad and Coventry

Tutor: Paul Thompson

The first twinned cities were made during WW2. Find out how this happened, what was going on and why.

The everyday life of the soviet soldier will be examined through real objects from the Great Patriotic War and we will use a case study of a celebrated female ‘frontovik’ who came to Coventry to raise awareness in 1942.

Why were these two major cities dramatic events so important to their respective countries?

Places on Open Learning courses are very limited and sell quickly. You can book now using a credit or debit card, or even Paypal.
