Impressionism: En Plein Air - Tutor Fran Nott

This two session course acrosss two Saturdays is a portrait of the social, economic and artistic climate surrounding the birth of Impressionism.

The first session will explore the social and economic climate of Paris in the 1900’s which led to the emergence of the movement. It will also cover a brief look at some of the major artists connected with Impressionism and the techniques they used.

The second session will look at a portfolio of Impressionist paintings . A "snapshot" of some of the most iconic Impressionist paintings featuring the work of Manet, Monet, Renoir, Pissarro, Morisot and Degas.
