History of the Motor Industry in Coventry

This course will cover the history of the road transport industry in Coventry from the birth of the motor industry and how it developed, until the decline over the last few years. We will look at some of the pioneers of the motor industry and the major car manufacturers who were based in the city.

We will focus on the people who worked in the industry, exploring what their lives were like and how the industry changed Coventry physically, socially and economically.
