Comfy & Acoustic, our showcase of the UK's best folk, acoustic, Americana and singer-songwriters, every 1st and 3rd Friday of the month.

Dan Webster
Dan Webster plays an accessible mix of Folk/Americana and has been building loyal fanbase ever since
breakthrough album 'Diamond Land' featured on the likes of Hollyoaks, BBC Radio 2 and BBC 1.
Dan Webster is described as 'one of the U.K's best kept musical secrets and one not to miss!', 'Achingly
lovely, like sun breaking on a rain swept highway' RnR and an 'An insightful lyricist with a great
voice' Acoustic Magazine. According to Americana UK - 'He is the missing link, the joining point, where folk
fuses with country as good as you'll hear on any record out of Austin or Nashville - beautiful he is
Anglicana'. Dan is a road-seasoned English singer-songwriter, his music is influenced by the sounds and
storytelling traditions of American and British Folk music, which he uniquely blends into his own distinct
fusion of Folk and Americana.
Accompanying Dan is violinist and composer Emily Lawler. Emily is influenced by Eastern European Folk,
Latin American and Experimental music and shares Dan's passion for Folk, Americana and Country. Emily
recently had her orchestral composition 'Elemental Soundscapes' performed by York's Guildhall Orchestra.
Before moving to the North of England to study she lead the Suffolk Youth Orchestra.

Threaded
Threaded are an acoustic trio that create and perform original instrumentals and self-penned songs, inspired by world folk culture and re-imagined for a contemporary audience.

Threaded is the 'impressive talent' (Folk Radio UK), of Jamie Rutherford (guitar/lead vocals), Ning- ning Li (violin/vocals) and Rosie Bott (clarinet/vocals). Their first two albums, Fair Winds & Following Seas (2017) and 'of what we spoke' in (2015), were received with great critical acclaim and their third studio album is set to be released later this year.

Threaded's show is full to the brim of energy, emotion, passion and reflection, delivered with an outstanding level of musicianship. From foot-stomping jigs to poignant ayres and soulful songs, Threaded's set has something for everyone.

Threaded have recently been working with theatre company; Red Earth Theatre, on their production 'Soonchild'. They have composed the score, and will be performing it live when it tours nationally in 2019/2020. Red Earth Theatre create shows which are accessible to the d/Deaf community, and research into how Threaded make the music accessible too has been kindly supported by Arts Council England.

Paul Bell
UK singer-songwriter Paul Bell is a compelling and engaging live performer. A regular performer at events such as Big Church Day Out, Spring Harvest, Greenbelt, New Wine and Keswick Convention, Paul's concerts are a mixture of laughter, beautiful acoustic music and thoughtful reflections on the experiences we share.

Paul has released five critically acclaimed albums and has been featured on BBC Radio 2, BBC Introducing, UCB and Premier Radio.
