Never miss another 'Larsen' show
This event takes place at The Tin Music & Arts, which has achieved Bronze Status for disabled access from Attitude Is Everything.
Larsen from Torino, Italy, has been carving their own path in the avant/experimental rock landscape over 15 years of activity, with 14 full length releases, 2 EPs and 2 DVDs, they've journeyed through geographies of sound ranging from frighteningly cold to beautifully fragile.
Along the way they've collaborated on stage and on album with some of alternative music's brightest talents - along with forming the standalone XXL (Xiu Xiu + Larsen) and Larsen and Friends (along with David Tibet, Baby Dee, Julia Kent and Johann Johannsson), they've had musical encounters with - among others - Michael Gira (who produced their second full length album "Rever" and released it on his own label Young God Records), Matmos, Martin Bisi, Matt Howden, Lustmord, Deathprod, Origami Galaktika, Jarboe, Nurse With Wound, Z'ev, sci-fi icon Christine Schell and - last but certainly not least - Little Annie (aka Annie Anxiety Bandez), who officially joined the band as lead singer and lyricist in 2008.
Larsen has also released soundtracks, both for movies and theatre plays, including the award winner Cartoanimalettimatti (commissioned by the University of Torino for Winsor McKay‘s silent animated movies). The band made their Tin Angel debut with the stunning "Cool Cruel Mouth", which was released to critical acclaim in 2011.
