Dedham Does Dance : Brand New Heavies + Natalie Williams + Allstars
This evening aims to raise £10,000 for two cancer charities - Cancer Research UK and Brain Tumour Charity with The Kevin Ackling Trust.
Why not go along for a night of great music while helping raise money.
It was old school friends Jan, Andrew and Simon pursuing their near-obsessive love of soul music and '70s funk that inspired them to form The Brand New Heavies.
Early hits Never Stop and Dream Come True were original chunks of organic funk that earned the band a reputation as a formidable live act and their reinterpretations of popular standards, such as Midnight At The Oasis, Carole King's You've Got A Friend and the Stevie Wonder classic I Don't Know Why (I Love You), brought major global chart success.
Having made their mark originally with the immensely talented vocalist N’Dea Davenport, the core trio of Jan Kincaid, Simon Bartholomew and Andrew Levy were later fronted by Siedah Garrett and Carleen Anderson.

Natalie is an exceptional live performer and has toured extensively, thrilling audiences and critics alike in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Nepal, the Middle East, Europe. She supported US r'n'b legend Joe on his 2004 national UK tour, and in 2003 also sold-out the Jazz Cafe in Camden. She appeared live on MTV's baselounge and has performed alongside Lemar, Sunshine Anderson and City High.
Born and raised in Berlin to a Hungarian mother and British father, Natalie realised her love for music, in particul jazz, at the age of 15. Her early influences included singers Nancy Wilson, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan and Aretha Franklin and she has been featured alongside the likes of Kurt Elling, Sheila Jordan and Guy Barker.
She is a regular performer at London's legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club where she hosts a monthly night, and is even more regularly seen supporting the international artists who visit.
