Reaper is a four-piece metal outfit from Liverpool, England. They have been Merseyside Metal to the Masses Champions, named one of Moshville Times' Top 3 Newblood bands at Bloodstock '17, self engineered and released their debut disc, "Birth of Chaos", played with a self-sourced and self-conducted orchestra, and have been endorsed by Barnaby Oakley of Crossfade Graphics.

In 2000, Daniel Moran (Guitarist and Lead Vocalist) and Anthony Dalton (Lead Guitarist and Backing Vocalist) would meet at age four as childhood friends. In their early teens, their mutual passion for guitar, and their early exposure to rock and metal, sealed them in an attic rehearsing Metallica's discography, almost to it's entirety, as well as a few atypical numbers from various bands. After dozens of brutally long practice sessions, they decided to bring Reaper to life in 2010.

The band wouldn't see a stage until 2011 and would mostly play covers. Eventually stepping up to the creative plate, they pieced together what would eventually make "Birth of Chaos" over the course of several line up changes. Despite the many achievements they made like performing Bloodstock 2017 to a full tent, supporting Alan "Boomer" Davey (ex-Hawkwind bassist), an album launch with a self sourced orchestra, and many others, the formative years of both the band and their debut disc were long and many. It took longer than most of their peers in the local scene to realise what they knew to be latent potential.

Enter; Anthony Longworth (Drums) and Elliott Kyriakides (Bass Guitar), the missing pieces of the puzzle. The pair would make up what most would now consider to be the strongest and most definitive line up Reaper has had to date. Since their inclusion, Reaper have been slowly accumulating a team to propel themselves into their second release; a 75 minute exhibition of every avenue the band can creatively explore.

Lyrics that used to pertain to rudimentary ideologies of violence and run-of-the-mill war stereotypes have since become anything ranging from carefully crafted statements on societal habit, mental illness, and religion, to occasional tongue-in-cheek ridicule and self-aware, almost cartoonish gruesomeness. The speed metal technical ability of earlier songs have been tempered into progressive metal onslaughts with even nastier precision.

With the most collected and driven members yet, Reaper aim to create nothing short of the most relentless, intense, and fierce catalogue metal has seen in years.
