Bandstand Sunday
AA Jazz Band

The AA Jazz Band makes debut big stage appearance on the festival’s Castle Bandstand. School teacher Lisa Clarke is coaching the Accrington Academy’s first jazz band comprising saxophone, voice, electric guitar, bass guitar, piano and drums.

The Grand Choir
From 1:00pm to 1:45pm
Led by Olivia Mason, The Grand Choir is making its Jazz Festival debut. 30 plus local voices, in harmony, helping bring a real local communiuty feel to a celebration of good music! Will they sing 'All that Jazz'?
Red Hot Drop
From 1:45pm to 2:45pm
Great name for a new local 5-piece soul, funk, jazz band, recently performing with Blufunk Syndicate at St Michael and John’s Social Centre to excellent reviews.

The Good Foot
From 2:45pm to 3:45pm
The Good Foot return to the festival after 2015 success at Maxwells. They'll be playing jazz funk, and soul music, playing a great mix of tunes from Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Roy Ayers and George Benson. Catch 'em again at Rose and Crown Monday afternoon.

Panjumby
From 3:45pm to 5:00pm.
The British jazz scene has a close relationship with musicians from the Caribbean and Africa, revitalising itself with fresh energy at every collaboration. Panjumby draws on music from Trinidad, featuring jazz, calypso and soca. Led by the rhythmic drive of steel pan master Dudley Nesbitt, Panjumby fields great improvisers and knockout rhythm!
