Murder Weekend By Bettine Manktelow
Murder Weekend is a comedy thriller, set in a country hotel where a 'Murder Mystery' weekend is taking place. Livia, a romantic short story writer, and her more down-to-earth husband Stan arrive at the hotel and are soon joined by Patsy (whom Livia remembers from much earlier) and her husband Ashley (with whom Livia had an affair).
Later, two MM oficionados Vi and Dotty arrive. The guests receive their Murder Mystery game identity envelopes but someone has left extra notes for Patsy and Stan, exposing Livia's and Ashley's illicit affair. Next, Shelley the chambermaid disappears.
But has the planned murder game started or will things go awry?
