Jekyll & Hyde The Musical
Cirencester Operatic Society are delighted to be performing the musical, Jekyll & Hyde, in the newly refurbished Barn Theatre this May.
Jekyll & Hyde is a musical thriller based on the novel The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson. The music is stirring and beautiful, the story intense and overall the audience will receive a powerful evening of entertainment.
The best known song from the musical is “This is the moment” which has been covered over 1,000 times, sung twice at the Olympics and at George W Bush’s US Presidential Inauguration. But this is not a musical just about one song. There are two amazing ensemble numbers in ‘Façade’ and ‘Murder’ and beautiful melodies such as ‘In his eyes’ and ‘Someone like you’.
