Festival Of Remembrance For Queen And Country: Christchurch And District Band + Bournemouth Male Voice Choir + Highcliffe Charity Players + Rock-Ola
A spectacular evening s in store at the Regent Centre in Christchurch of music, remembrance, a '50s rock 'n' roll band all topped off with a patriotic Grand Finale of flag waving and singing.
The first half of the show features the Christchurch and District Band performing classic marches such as The Dambusters, On The Square, Standard Of St George, Boys Of The Old Brigade, and the Normandy Veterans March plus the famous Winston Churchill speech.
The special sound and video effects include the roar of aircraft engines, the chatter of the pilots and the search lights
In the second half of the evening, Highcliffe Charity Players perform some of the most memorable songs of the Second World War including the hits of The Andrews Sisters. Meanwhile Rock-Ola step into the future that was made possible by the ultimate sacrifice of so many with a tribute to the hits of the 1950s rock 'n' roll.
The Christchurch and District Band is a community concert band based in Christchurch, Dorset.
They have a very broad range in player abilities and all ages are welcome.

The new Bournemouth Male Voice Choir gave its first performance for the Mayor on the steps of Bournemouth Town Hall in 1922.
Players come from all walks of life and perform regularly through the year on behalf of charities, for community groups and also at private functions.
