Kyle Horch, Yshani Perinpanayagam

Kyle Horch (saxophone) is joined by Yshani Perinpanayagam (piano) in a programme of lively contrasts.

Greenwich Village Portraits is a recent work by the American composer David Amram.

Serge Prokofiev’s Five Melodies, Op.35 of 1920, originally for voice without text, will be played in Kyle Horch’s transcription for saxophone and piano, and Timothy Salter’s concerto for alto saxophone, Chameleon, recently recorded by Kyle Horch and here performed in its duo version, completes the programme.
