Clocking On

Conductor: Anthony Halstead

Distinguished and world-renowned conductor and horn player, Anthony Halstead, conducts this concert with members of The Hanover Band. This will be the culmination of a three-day orchestral course, an educational initiative taking place at the University of Chichester.

Specialist period instrument players from The Hanover Band will work with musicians from the University and the West Sussex Youth Orchestra on Beethoven Symphony No. 8 and Haydn's Clock Symphony No. 101. They will also work with the University Wind Band, delving into typical wind band music that would have been performed in England c.1900, to include works by Sousa and Scott Joplin.
