The last concert in the St John’s series completes the sequence of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and the lovely Adagio by Samuel Barber.
The String Symphony is a world premiere, a new arrangement by Crispin Ward of the 8th string quartet of Dimitri Shostakovich. This is due to be recorded by the Orchestra next year at the famous Abbey Road studios in London.
