The third concert by the Orchestra-in-Residence at St John’s Chapel celebrates two of the greatest British composers of the twentieth century.
Sir Lennox Berkeley’s wartime Serenade is both angular and wistful as he imparts in music the horrors of war with the sorrow of loss.
Soloist Steve Dummer joins the orchestra in one of the favourites of the clarinet repertoire, the beautiful clarinet concerto by Gerald Finzi.
