Collected Through Love: The Michael Woodford Bequest
A former school caretaker, Michael Woodford was an unlikely collector but his passion for art saw him acquire significant works, including works by Picasso, Graham Sutherland, Victor Pasmore, Alan Reynolds, Suzanne Valadon and Gerald Leslie Brockhurst. This is one of the latest bequests to the Gallery's permanent collection.
